I have an ecoTEC 28 pro combi boiler. I recently drained the ch system so I could take the radiators off. I want to fill it back up now and not quite sure what to do. The manual doesn't really help.

I would assume you just connect the filling pipe, turn back on the isolation valves and fill up the system - bleeding from the last radiator back. But assumption has been a problem for me in the past....

Also, when and how should i add in inhibitor? Do I need to to cleanse the system at all? It's all quite new and was only installed about 5 mths before I drained it.

The manual mentioned something about turning the boiler to a 'filling' program - is this necessary?

Thanks in advance...

You can add the inhibitor, I would recommend Fernox or Sentinel X100, int a radiator by removing the air vent or blanking plug.

Re-connect the filling loop. On the front of the boiler press and hold the + & - buttons together whilst turning on the power.

Keep these pressed until P0 appears then let go, press the - button once so P6 appears then press i button.

Once this is done open filling loop valves and fill system, bleeding all rads starting with downstairs first.

Re-pressurise to about 1.2 bar and shut off filling loop.

Turn boiler off and again press + & - together whilst turning on. This time when P0 appears just press i button. The boiler will then self purge it and the system. once complete bleed all rads again and top up pressure to 1.2 bar if needed. Press the - button for an accurate pressure reading.

they do! but in such a perculiar place that it is almost impossible to find!

P0 can be obtained by turning off, holding + and turning on no need to hold - button
