Hi is there a flow restrictor in low kw electric showers because there is a 7,5kw shower which when it is turned to hot the water flow reduces but when its turned to cold has good pressure. Any ideas?

Thats how electric showers deliver the goods, Tommy - the incoming water volume is reduced to allow things to heat up.
Its even more evident in the depths of winter when the incoming water temperature is very cold indeed.
(Electric showers often do have a filter in their inlet port though).
