I am interested in becoming an electrician, Does anyone know of any electrical companies that are taking on apprentices?

Make sure you're 18 or younger.

It seems this year the government has run out of money and can't afford to offer them to 19-25 year olds. (JTL, not sure about others yet).

SSE take in a batch of apprentices a year, I think in February.

I posted a message last time they were advertising.

Use the "search" for "Apprentices" or "Apprenticeships" in the Electrics UK forum.

Competition is very stiff, as you can imagine.

There are apprenticeships coming up, but, unlikely the previous few years the numbers are drastically down, you WILL need to have good Maths and Science grades at GCSE at least C grades at higher level and you had better be prepared to work your arse off and perform on site and at college. Be warned the gravy train has run out of Bisto!!!!!
