Electrics in new kitchen

Fit a single unswitched socket under the units behind the plinth, and supply this from the lighting circuit via the light switch.

thanks for the reply flameport but not sure whether this would be good practice as somewhere down the line somebody may plug something with a large current demand into it but i do realise that it would be behind units and therefore unable to access unless the kitchen was removed. Any other thoughts on this would be appreciated

If someone plugged something stupid in then the breaker would simply trip...

Label it up as being on the lighting circuit and it will be fine.
