electrics trip

hi guys - my russell hobs microwave has been working fine since i had it..yesterday i shut the door to warm some food and the elctrics went off, had a look at the crabtree consumer unit and noticed that the " earth fault" switch had been triggered,,,reset it and same again...cant see any spillage or any foreign objects in the microwave...has the microwave reached its end of use life ?..ta....unplugged it and labelled it up as "do not use"...so kids and family dont use it..

I had a microwave that failed in a way that tripped the RCD, so they can do that. I did get the benefit of a bit of a firework show first though.

If it is kaput, and you're going to replace it, take a look at this:



It's bigger than the average microwave - big enough to actually be useful as a conventional oven. You can get a building in kit for it as an option.
 
cheers guys..ill try another socket...that one is a little expensive for me.,,

sockets is fine....i used toaster in the same socket working fine....tried microwave in another socket...still trips the electrics.. :cry:

looks like the microwave died...or was on its way out...anyway got a new microwave..
