Electrolux 14440W (not spinning)

Hi, I came home today and the washer was making a strange noise and smelt of burning.
The machine seems to have finished its cycle but stuck on the spin.
Turned off and on again and set to spin but is just noisy, not spinning.
Turned the drum by hand ok.
any ideas anybody.

where is noise coming from does it sound like pump cos if filter is blocked machine wont finish empty cycle and wont let it spin

Hi, thanks for the. Reply.
It's an inbuilt washer so the noise was hard to pin point, it did sort of sound,and smell like a motor was stuck though. Is the filter bottom right at the front of the machine.
Checked the filter and you were right it was blocked solid, cleaned it all out and refitted it, put on spin cycle, still won't spin,washer is makeing noises and timer counting down,
Do you think the pipes from the washer to the drain could also be blocked ?

if still no spin need to check the motor to see if the carbon brushes have burnt out
