engine cuts out

hi, not a major problem more an anoying nuacance
i have a 94 m plate escort 1600 zetec petrol injection engine
whatever the weather it starts first turn of key and has behaved normal ,tickover etc and run ok
but a gremlin has crept in since the freezing weather we had few months back
it now starts as allways and given a few revs warm up etc and ticks over as per norm
but at first junction 300 yds it cuts out
starts ok again and ok rest of day
i put a new idle control valve on i had , no change
this was followed by new plugs and ign leads
then mass air flow sensor
lambda sender
inlet air temp sensor
throttle position sensor
coolant temp sensor
new ignition coil last year
i cant find any leaking air pipes/hoses etc
its had a new petrol pump ,tank, filter, within last 2 years
so ive ruled out fuel problem as it starts up again no trouble
as i say annoying more than anythink
running out of ideas any help /advice as to where to look next would be welcome

have you given the throttle valve/body a good clean out with some carb cleaner?

hi ch427, thanks for reply
yes i did spray the bit i had in there with it fully open ,in and around the buterfly flap but will do it again tomorow when i get some more.
i also removed the throttle pos sensor and sprayed some in from that angle .
[but this was done when engine was hot so need to wait till morning to try again ]
funny thing is which could work in my favour at the mo, its made the revs die down slowly , like you get when idle control valve needs cleaning
also late afternoon i changed the ecu with a known good one i had .
one other thing ive noticed if i disconect t.p.sensor and drive it i dont seem to notice any change
will post update tomorow when ive done cold start again

i got some more carb cleaner today and gave inlet a good spraying with it
also put a dab of light oil onto buterfly spinde ends
then gave engine a good run out all speeds all gears to clear any muck out
the slow drop in revs [ after i fitted new icv ]seems to be getting back to normal as well
and ive just been out now 2130 as engine was cold and drove around the block doing unnesasary stops and engine never cut out once
it was a bit hesitant on low revs but probally cus it was cold
anyway the main thing it never cut out so maybe its sorted [ will post update in a few days ]
at least its got all new sensors etc on it the others were all original ones

been a few days now and pleased to say engine is back to normal or even better
more responsive, and tickover back to normal and no up and down revs etc. and no cutting out
such a simple thing in the end which without your sugestion i would most likely still be trying to sort out

hope its sorted now, like you say the icv is normally the problem when this happens
