Dear Experts,
I have just fitted a new euro cylinder and it sticks if I fully tighten all the screws.
On investigation, it seems that the rotating central cam section is rubbing on the sides of the sashlock case.
I am wondering if the rotating portion is unusually wide on this cylinder, and if some sashlock cases are wider. I.e. this cylinder would not rub against the sides of a thicker, more secure, case.
The cylinder is an ABS ( http://www.euro-secure.com/abslocks.asp ) and the rotating portion is 18mm wide. I don't have any other cylinders handy to compare with, but looking at pictures it seems that on most the rotating portion is only as wide as the cam itself i.e. about half of this.
The sashlock is an Architectural brand one and is 15mm wide. The cylinder can only roate freely if the fixing bolt is kept loose.
Thoughts anyone?
