Sorry - are you saying that people who voted to leave didn't know what they were voting for?

I'm not twisting or contorting anything.

I said that leavers knew this would happen if they got their way, they wanted this to happen, so they went and voted for it.

You said "Rofl....more sh,,,te than the bible"

In which case my question was quite reasonable.

You are adamant that you know what you voted for

I voted Brexit.No regrets.The UK will be better off.out.
Bol9x.we new anything was better than EU capers
No no and i know what i voted for.
Merkel does not bother me anymore because we voted to stuff EU.

So given your "Rofl....more sh,,,te than the bible" comment, are you saying that other people who voted to leave didn't know what they were voting for?

Can you answer that?
Will you answer that?

Or will you confirm that you have no answer by trying to rubbish the question?

No need, the question is already rubbish, and you do twist and contort.Engage your brain please, how can we know exactly what we voted for, when nothing is even final yet!!give ya head a shake.

Engage your brain please,
Maybe you should have done that before voting.

how can we know exactly what we voted for, when nothing is even final yet!!
Make your mind up

It is all really very straightforward.

Everybody who voted to leave did so in the full knowledge that they were answering a very simple in-or-out question. They knew that they were not being asked for any specific opinons about any of the myriad nuanced aspects of leaving. So it's too late now for them to complain that they don't like the result.

Everybody who voted to leave did so in the full knowledge that if they won then the Article 50 process could well be invoked immediately without any discussion or preparatory planning or negotiations about what the UK's relationship with the EU would be after we were no longer a member. So it's a bit late now for them to complain that they don't like the result.

Everybody who voted to leave did so without asking for more information, without asking for anything other than a simple in/out choice, without demanding that the government have a plan before pressing the button. So it's a bit late now for them to complain that they don't like the result.

Everybody who voted to leave voted to be where we are now because they did not give any consideration to where we would end up just as long as it was somewhere different and that the govt just got on with it. So it's a bit late now for them to complain that they don't like the result.

17,410,742 people ticked the box to leave with all of this knowledge and with all of this lack of interest in examining, or choosing between, options for the country's ongoing relationship with the EU. So it's a bit late now for them to complain that they don't like the result.

17,410,742 people need to own what they voted for.

Nothing new there, is there? Loads of banks and other companies made it very clear that if the UK left the EU they would look into moving their offices out of London / Uk.
For many it is not a matter of being spiteful, it's just because they need to be in the EU. If an American bank wants an EU head office, the natural place to be was London.

Let's see if we can find some old news ....

Search Google for [brexit bank leave london] and set date to before 01/06/16 (not later as a lot of propaganda appear in the last few weeks):

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/jun/23/standard-poors-warns-on-uk-banks-and-brexit - this is one year before the Brexit vote.

"Half of all the foreign direct investment into the financial services sector comes from the EU, the ratings agency said."

"While London would remain a leading global financial centre, global banks could look elsewhere for their European bases because they would no longer be able to use the city as their passport to trade across the EU."

Don't anybody say we weren't warned.

Sorry - are you saying that people who voted to leave didn't know what they were voting for?

As the question in the referendum was as simplistic as leave or stay in the EU

Even a Mongolian goat herder could understand the question

Mind u as large proportion of the young snow flake generation did not vote
One can only conclude that they did not under stand the question

No surprise there tbh  they were confused
