Extending Doorway and Party Wall Agreement

I'm looking at extending the doorway pictured all the way to the right edge wall. The wall is load bearing so some kind of support would be needed. However the right edge wall is a party wall.

Would this then require a party wall agreement?

Strictly, yes. But if you do that, together with your council buiding regs application (if you are doing it by the book) it will probably cost you more in fees than the cost of the job itself.
