Extending USB mouse

DVR in cupboard.

HDMI cable run through to TV in next room (20M cable, 10M as crow flies (through wall!)).

What's the best way to facilitate the operation of a mouse in front of the TV?

Asked a few 'knowledgable' guys, and surprised how varied opinions are.

Ideally want a wireless mouse on the coffee table.

Long USB lead , or long USB plus cheap wireless mouse ...

Why am I thinking the question didn't need to be asked?

One option was to use CAT5 & adaptors each end. Why would anyone do that?

Another was to get a mouse that'll work through the wall ... can't see that being successful myself.

Also, do all extension cables support a wireless mouse?

Have used both cheap and cheerful off eBay , don't expect the wireless mouse to work plugged direct into the dvr the range is only a few meters,so it's got to be plugged into the end of the USB extended cable
