Hi excuse the incorrect terminology if the case but I am looking for what paint to use on the cement covering at the base of the external walls (over the damp course level I believe)

We have just had a garage conversion and the area where the old garage door was is now bricked. The rest of the house has matt black looking finish on this cement area and I want to match this rather than the more common glossy type paint I have seen and used before on old house

Thanks in advance

Black masonry paint.....thin the first coat a little (about 16/205)

If the cement render finsh is old ad powdery then you will need a stabiliser....or give it a good stiff brushing first.

Thanks at least I know what to ask for! - it is a new covering of cement so should be OK
