A new pvc downpipe was fitted (badly) and is now leaking. The lead pipe coming out from my kitchen has been bent and bashed over the years by the looks of it and when the pvc pipe was fitted to it no attempt was made to seal it at all. What should be used to seal the lead pipe and the pvc pipe together? Is there some kind of tape or putty that could do the job?

Thanks,
Ross

If you dont mind what it looks like, 'Denso' tape will give you a waterproof joint, but its filthy stuff so gloves are advised!

If you can advise on what pipe sizes you have then there may be an appropriate coupling to suit the job. (Or post a pic!)
