I am concerned about the security of my external beaded windows. Is there anything practical that can be done to help secure the beading. The windows are fairly old but in good condition and i dont think security tape has been used.

Security tape it is then 
Flick out the wedge gasket with a putty knife or scraper and measure the gap but it does mean every bit of glass has to come out the fit the tape
