External Light With Sensor

Good morning all,

I have an external light with a PIR sensor on it which is normally left on for security reasons. Recently though, it seems to come on by itself. On looking outside, there are no cats/birds/persons etc out there? It just seems to come on for no reason at all?

Is this a known issue with these lights? Are there any fixes etc?

Lots of things can set these off. This time of year, it is usually trees or plants that are waving in the detection area.

Get your gardening gloves on.

If your unit has a sensitivity control, you could try and adjust that.
