i need help with the wires that come from security light that will connect to the connection blocks/ceiling rose

which consist of three conductors 1 phase1 ,neutral,1 bare conductor with earthing sheathing

thanks for your reply,

i need help with the pir wires to connectors block/ceiling rose
are you saying;

pir bare/earth to connector block earth?
pir phase to connector block phase?
pir neutral to connector block neutral?

I presume the loose cable goes to the PIR.

If so, then yes.

Sleeve the earth with green&yellow.

The PIR will be powered permanently. Do you have a switch somewhere?

For information -we don't call it phase any more. The correct term now is 'line'

the pir has no switch.its straight from ceiling rose,the light works as it should turns on with movement at night for 2 minutes then goes off
should there be a fcu or switch?

Not necessarily - just depends what you want.

On some PIRs you can manipulate the switch in a certain way and the light will stay on until switched off again.

One reason to fit a double pole isolation switch is that the outside lamp is prone to damage and/or water ingress which could cause the MCB (fuse) or the RCD to trip. Without a means to isolate the outside lamp it would have to be disconnected before the RCD could be reset.

Also as EFLImpudence mentions some PIRs react to a sequence of ON OFF and may be set into permanently on mode when power is restored after a power cut. The isolator would enable you to reset the PIR witout having to turn the MCB on and off.
