My external walls are not build with cavities (built in 1932). Any furniture , curtains or e.g. a toy box placed by the wall starts to collect dark mould patches like the air is not circulating behind them or something. This appears on the curtains and on the wall paper.

What shall I do to:

a) get rid of the mould
b) protect against the mould coming back

Cheers in advance.

yes, spending money is an alternative to opening the windows

Does anyone drape wet washing about the house?

Generally keep large furniture 50 mm away from cold walls. Keep the rooms warm and well ventilated.
