FAULTY! I have a Vaillant 824 eco boiler...

The pressure bar is on 1.2 and works fine when using hot water, but as soon as I put the central heating on, the pressure goes up rapidly into the red zone and then leaks from the overflow pipe outside. Anyone tell me what the problem is, cheers?

This fault results from not having the boiler regularly serviced by a conscientious professional.

British Gas don't count as they don't even do a service! Just a "safety check" by seeing if the flue gases are correct!

What's this got to do with BG?
 
There are many posts here about pumping up your pressure vessel.
Find one which goes into how to do it. Thaty *might* be all it needs.

That's just him not reading the post and BG bashing for no good reason. :rolleyes:
It has sfa to do with servicing on a regular basis as the ev diaphragm may have just failed.
