hi there
just need a bit of help or ideas to whats going wrong.
ive just removed an old shower, supply 8.5kw/ load 7.6kw.
and replaced it with a9.5kw/8.7kw on the same 30amp supply.the
box says 30amp ok for the new shower.
the problem is the shower was ok for the first couple times but now
takes the trip out after a couple or three minutes .any ideas. the new
one is a gainsborough cheapie on special at bee&cucumber.

You are overloading your circuit breaker, which is simply doing its job.

If the cable is big enough and installed in a way that does not signifiacntly alter its rating, it is possible that you could use a larger rated breaker, but you absolutely should not do this unless you can verify that it is safe.

I bet you've got no supplementary bonding either. Call an electrician.

The person responsible for the information on the box must have payed no attention in their high school physics classes then, if they can take a wattage of 9500 and a voltage of 240 and get a current of less than 30 amps...

(Watts law: P=IV)

also echo dingbat... (again  )
