Hello all,

Looking for some ideas on how best to fence the perimeter of the garden. I have had quotes from a couple of companies to install some Betafence rigid panels, but the price is out of budget.

There are existing concrete fence posts (see photos below), and I'm wondering how best to make use of these.

Suggestions welcome. Thank you in advance.

Cheers
Raymond

P.S. The savage grass is a spare piece of land next door. My garden is on the inside of the fence posts.

Those posts look like they are for a chain link or similar mesh fence. So the cheap option is to re-wire them and attache chain link.

Or you could probably bolt or screw timber posts to them and use arris or cant rails for a low close boarded fence.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Would something like this screw directly into the concrete posts?[/http://www.screwfix.com/p/arris-rail-brackets-300mm-pack-of-10/48243?cm_sp=Search-_-SearchRec-_-Area1&_requestid=400006]

The posts will have rebar in them so the chances of screwing brackets directly to them are minimal. You would have to fix timber either side of them and screw to that.

So what's the best way to go about attaching the upright timber posts, if screwing into the concrete is problematic?

Thanks,
Raymond
