Hi
My back door requires a new Ferco 6.35 Multi lock I have seen a few on some web sites at various prices. How easy are they to fit? Also what exactly do you have to do to the latch to change it to a LH or RH fitting door, they don't explain that on the web sites.

Hope someone can help THANKS

There's usually a sticker on the side of the mechanism showing how to reverse the latch - if not, its likely to be screw retained from the side(unscrew, reverse, rescrew).

if its a like-for-like swap, then its an easy DIY job to change it. You may have to adjust the length of the replacement to fit the door though.

once your new one is in place make sure it locks smoothly, the keeps/door may need some adjustment if the door is tight to lock, this may have caused the original to fail ?
remember, when taking out the key cylinder/barrel the key usually needs to be turned slightly (left or right) to allow it to be removed after you have removed its retaining screw
