Hi there everyone.

Need your expert advice. I've got a Ferroli combi. Not getting any hot water or central heating.

The pilot light is lit but the main burner won't light????

Any ideas as to whats suddenly happened.

Have you checked the basics such as 3 amp fuse in fused outlet?

And gas valve knob in correct position and pulled fully forward?

Dave: yes there is a 3amp fuse. Just replaced it with one that i know works so that cant be the problem.

Agile: Understand what you mean. Gas valve is fully pulled out.

As i said. The pilot looks fine but the main burner wont ignite on demand.

Can you here the fan going? This has to be proved by aps before anything else can happen.

I have a similar problem with mine...

I hear the fan start up, then most of the time nothing happens.

If I give the front of the boiler a slap with the palm of my hand it fires up straight away.

Any ideas what the cause is?

and more so, why it will work after a bit of "percussive maintenance"?!?
