The linkage has broken on my Scudo and it's not worth repairing, my problem is I've just put £30 of derv in the tank, I tried putting a pipe in through the filler cap but there must be an anti siphon device as the pipe came out dry, what I would like to know please is can I disconnect a return pipe to the tank or how can't I get some fuel out before I take it to the scrappers.

Take the pipe off at the fuel filter under the bonnet, turn the key on and the electric pump in the tank should work. Or drill a hole in the bottom of the tank.

Thanks Mursal I'll try the filter, I've still to drive the van to the scrap yard so drilling a hole in the tank is not really a viable option.
