Hi.
I'm planning an extension right up to my boundary line. Beyond that boundary is fields upon fields.
My local Building Control guy said that I require to have the whole wall fire resistant, including any glass that I may put in (obviously I'm not overlooking any properties).
I've been searching and calling many places, but coming to a halt.
I can get the glass easily enough (££££££'s!!), but no-one knows what to put the glass into?
Has anyone got any experience on this topic?
Could I buy a fire door, which is more or less fully glazed and put it into the wall?
Building control said that it must not open, but an unfurnished door in my head is as good as a glazed window, or is that just me hoping!?
Thanks!
