Hi All,
We moved into a edwardian property and all the original fireplace (surrounding and hearth) had been removed, concreted and tiled by previous owner so we have started taking them all down.
Budget is tight so for the surrounding we have gone with minimalist style plaster and/or brick exposed if in good condition. However we are not sure what would be the easiest and most economical way to replace/make a new hearth? See picture attached.
We thought of coloured concrete (black/dark grey) to make it flush with floor or perhaps even filling it back with floordboards but not sure how to get started (prep work etc)?
What would you do? Any ideas and how to would be much appre
Thanks
