Fitting a combi into a 3 bed house and part L

As i understand it you should not be installing a combi into anything bigger than a 1 bedroomed flat.
Properties with 2 or 3 bedrooms+ should be fitted with a condensing boiler.
I think i read some place this took effect from june 2005?

Could some kind gent explain in more detail if im right or wrong regarding the new regs.

I new i would get at least one grown up answer from a guy who knows what he is talking about and the odd comment from prats who think they know it all
