I am just in the process of fitting a manrose 100mm centrifugal fan.
The instruction say that i should connect the the ducting going out through the wall to to the end of the fan where the blade is visible. However the air flow arrow on top of the casing shows that if it was fitted this way the air would flow into the bathroom surely this is not correct. Any help would be much appreciated

Well, either the instructions or the arrow is wrong.... hook it up temporarily and see if it sucks or blows, then orientate it according to your wishes.

You've posted this on the electrics forum as well. Didn't you like the answers over there ( which was the same as here "just try it out !) ?
