Our kitchen has a wooden iroko worktop which the carpenter will fit, but we are having a 900mm section of marble worktop at one end (for baking apparently!).

Our kitchen company don't do marble so I intend to buy a pre-cut slab from the net. We have had a good quote from a company who will let me pick it up.

My question is - how is marble attached to the carcass? Could I or the carpenter fit it easily or is it something that requires special tools etc?

Thanks

Your a little short of 3ft so weight is not a big problem. Just make sure you you make any adjustments by removing plaster as I doubt you have the tools (I don't) needed to trim/cut marble.

Then as 2929 said.
