hi guys, been looking into getting a quadrant shower enclosure for the bathroom but can't fathom out how you run supply pipes to it if as in my case the shower will be on a solid outside wall.is it a case of digging the walls and plastering over or can you get a mixer unit that uses exposed pipes.also what opinions do you have on shower trays,i notice a lot of the sets come with an acrylic shower tray with adjustable feet to facilitate the waste, are these any good or are stone resin ones superior, thanks in advance.

HI

you can chase the wall and sleeve the supply pipes and then put plastic over the pipes before plastering.

hello, Grohe do a nice range of bar mixers (1000,2000and 3000) which can be either installed as exposed pipework or chased out an passed out through the wall and tiles etc.The set comes with both type of fittings in it. personally from a plumbers point of view i prefer the exposed as any problems with leaks etc can be accessed without damaging tiles etc. I would also recommend if you went with this option purchasing chrome plated copper for that extra touch.
