I feel a bit thick having bought a very expensive valve.....

I have a Hansgrohe ibox universal valve for my new shower. The inlet/outlet ports look like they can either be 22mm or 15mm fittings (there are reducing nuts supplied for the latter). In either case, there is an internal thread to connect in to.

QUESTION IS: What end fittings do I use to connect to the (threaded) ports?

Do I dismantle one end of a compression fitting and screw it in with some PTFE tape? If so, do you leave the olive in place or discard it?

Or is there some kind of specialist adapter/fitting?

You'll probably need male iron fittings.
Take the valve to a plumbers merchants who will show you what you need. :D

Pipe size depends on your designed flow. Look in the valve itself and you'll see the waterways are tiny though.
Best of luck fixing it in/to the wall, it needs a blooody great hole!

Thanks for the replies - I'll get down to the plumbers merchant Monday and see what they've got.

As for the hole....hmmm, you are right - I think I could almost get through it myself. Quite a bit of 'making good' to do.....
