Hi I would like to install my Ring doorbell. The door is UPVC. Would you attach to the door with self-tapping screws or would you fix to the brick wall next to the door? Screwing to the UPVC is kind of quicker and easier, but I'm not sure as to how sensible this is. Any thoughts please as to whether this is sensible? Thank you.

Why not use double sided 3M tape or gel tape?
Ah, I'd not thought about that - I'd assumed not strong enough / waterproof, but I will have a look. I'm not familiar with gel tape either, but I will look at that also. Thank you.

Ours is fixed to the brick wall next to the door with screws. No problems.
