Hi All,

We're having vinyl flooring in our downstairs shower room, the concrete finish isn't great so I'm laying 9mm plywood to give a good surface for the vinyl.

Whays the best way to secure the ply to the concrete? Concrete is sealed so I was thinking a grab adhesive with a few screws into plugs to ensure it's pulled down tight.

Are there any better ideas or will the above suffice?

Thanks
Chris

I've got the board already and I think it suits my purposes better

Normally fitters use a self levelling compound
unless you’re incredibly lucky you will end up with large seams showing through

Is the new flooring going to be sheet or individual tiles?
Sheet can be run up the walls a few inches and sealed of to prevent water ingress below.
Tiles will leave numerous possibilities for water to penetrate between the joints and even treated timber will eventually rot and breakdown.
