Flashing against a pebbledashed wall

For a pitched roof that butts up against a pebbledashed wall, what’s the right approach to preventing leaks where the roof meets the wall? Should the pebbledash be cut back and flashing applied.

Our roof appears to be leaking in this area, there is no existing means to prevent water ingress in this area (as far as I can see).

I’m planning to redo this roof in the next few weeks, been thinking about the best approach to keep water out of this area.

Thanks

When you "redo" the roof then after stripping the cover why not post pics showing all the exposed abutments - pics should show any damage to the roof timbers.
Ditch all smeared flashings and tiles.
Look up the Lead Sheet Assn or Calder Lead diagrams for abutment flashing. Then watch Pete Scholey in justlead.com/youtube
Best practice for plain tile is soakers and stepped cover flashing. Other type tiles have different flashings.

FWIW: check out "Kickout diverters" - they may be useful for you?

Sorry to revive an old thread but should this be stepped flashing?

I often see similar houses in the area with pebbledashed walls and a pitched roof with an apron running down the side.

Just started work on this, the timbers were in such a bad way - glad it’s done just need to do the flashing.

Thanks
