I have recently put a pitched roof on my porch using concrete roof tiles

I need to flash the tiles into the front of the house but instead of brickwork I have tiles on the front of my house.

They're only an inch thick so can't really cut into them. How would you go about flashing?

You should remove the first 2 courses of tiles and fix the lead to a batten at least 100mm above the porch roof and then replace the the 2 vertical courses.

As we all know once removed, it is not possible to re-fix the starter (bottom) course of tile hanging, without removing subsequent courses of tiles. And so on.

I once made some rather intricate 'hanging brackets' out of s.s. housing ties and they worked rather well.

We try and leave the tiles in place and cut them in-situ prior to doing any roof timber work. Too late now for that I guess.
