i am building a flat roof on top of existing single skin brick wall enclosure/garage style walls, with a span of 2.6m and 4m length,
i have 6"x2" joists and firings cut to 1:50 gradient across the short span.
my plan was to affix a 4"x2" wall plate on top of the brick wall and stand the joists on top of this,
?what is the best way of fixing the whole wooden structure to the brick wall?
slightly concerned in case of strong winds lifting roof off!
what brackets to use? does it need strapping on??
any info gratefully received
thanks
