Flexible waste pipe through outside wall?

Hi,
My shower has been leaking so I hacked through the ceiling below to see what was up.

The leak was from the join between the flexible waste to the pipe that travels through the wall to the outside.

The distance from the shower trap outlet to the outside wall is only about 10cm and the original plumber had to use a flexible connector, but the only one he could get was 75cm, to there is a lot of twists and turns to get it to fit into the small space. I have managed to refit it so it no longer leaks, but drainage is incredibly slow (even with a new trap).

The only thing I can think of is to get a very long flexible pipe (1m-1.2m)and take it directly from the trap, through the wall and then join it on to the regular drain system.

Is this possible? Do such long pipes exist? Can you take the ends off the flexible pipe or will I have to widen the existing 40mm hole? Do you have any better ideas?

Thanks for your help,

Adam

Why are you using a flexible waste :?: Can't you use a small piece of 40 mm waste pipe :?:

Should be no twists and turns anyway ;)

Unfortunately not, it's just too darn tight to use a non-flexible solution. I either need a really short flexible pipe, or a really long one :(
