I have a concrete floor that is underlayed and carpeted that I want to put
reclaimed pine boards onto. The room is used as the lounge and has a radiator and gas fire. The rom is about 3.65m X 4.87m
Having never installed this before I understand there are 2 methods and some of the merits but for amateur install will it be best done floating or glued.

If I glue the board how? Do I DPM then Foam underlay then Glue the whole area ?
I presume for both methods I glue the whole length of the tongue - is that ordinary pva ?

Thanks

Your room width allows floating installation. If you choose this method, install DPM and (sound)insulation, then install the boards and glue (PVAC) the T&G's.
If you choose the glue the floor down, this is done directly on the concrete floor with suitable (and more expansive) adhesive. No DPM or insulation.
