Floorboard thickness

House built in 1981/2 needs new floorboards on landing. Is there such a thing as a standard thickness for T&G floorboards...and was there a standard when the house was built?

I'm hoping that floorboards from my nearest shed will be the same thickness as those already down...or am I being unrealistic?

i would measure the thickness of the boards already down and then change for ply wood of similar thickness.
