based on 25m @1m depth and 450mm wide, what would be a fair price to pay for digging footings. Is there a rough guide, concrete seperate just for digging.

A heck of a lot can depend upon how 'busy' the site is, i.e. is it being criss-crossed by loads of services and drains?

Another factor can be ground conditions and contouring. For instance, if you are digging a new trench along side say an existing drain trench then it is highly likely that the drain trench will collapse into the new one.

Are there considerable changes in ground levels?

Deep drains are another prohibitive factor. Any footings passing close by will need to be as deep as the drain invert.

Are you aware of all the service runs and their approximate depth?

Is the site easily accessible for spoil removal, digger access, dumper access etc?
