ford escort 1.6i fuel filter

just wonderd if some 1 can help me find the fuel filter on my car its a ford escort 1.6i cabriolet ive looked under the bonnet and under neath around the fuel tank but cannot see it any were

im sure on my k plate car it was under the car near the fuel tank on the drivers side
