Ford Ka problem

Have T reg Ford Ka and the rear hatch wiper chooses to work when it feels like it. Ironically seems to work when it is raining but at around 7 grand new i know it has'nt got a sensor.

I suspect it may the motor relay

Anyone else had similar problems?

open the tailgate and have a look on the bottom of it for 3 or 4 brass contacts. When you find them, give them a good clean up with some fine sandpaper.
Next, look at where the tailgate closes and you will see the bit it connects with. Clean this up aswell and all should be fine

ta NEO my GFs KA does this so ill gve em a clean

i know the ones as i was opening bottles of beer at a festival on sunday on the edge of the plastic surround of the contacts
