Fuse on Board

On my optima xm6 board i have tested various fuses. On the control panel layout there is a fuse underneath the transformer. I have tested this and it carries 230volts. What does this fuse cover?

Fairly obvious, it protects the transformer's 230 volt primary winding

I agree, but if it isn't obvious to a person then maybe that person lacks some of the skills and knowledge needed to diagnose / repair faults on electrical / electronic equipment.

can i just say thank you for the info. I only asked the question as confirmation of what i had already suspected. I regard myself to be very competent when dealing with electrics.
