Hi.

Hopefully somebody can help me here. After several weeks 'playing' with my central heating to try and sort out my banging boiler, I have bitten the bullet and dosed it with Fernox cleaner. It has been circulating for a week and I have drained and refilled twice.

Now, from bits I have read here, it seems you are supposed to test the system water to see if you have flushed enough? Well I was wondering if anybody could give me a guideline as to how many flushes you would normally expect to do before the conditions are correct?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

if clean water comes out its ok but if you think you need it doing again call a tradesman and have it power flushed

It should be drained from every avialable drain point on the ground floor

Thanks. I have drained it from the only drain on the ground floor, but I thought it had to be flushed to a certain 'cleanliness'.
