Suddenly when we turn the dial on this shower to its normal position, about five o'clock, the water runs cold. The only way to get a lukewarm shower is to turn it to about 9 o'clock but then the water pressure is lessened. Has anybody got any ideas? I am capable of opening up the shower cover to have a look but not doing electics but I don't want to get anyone in if the shower is definetley broken.

Does it have a high and a low Power setting?
Set the tinker to a sensible shower temperature, on highest power, and tell us what the flow is, in litres/minute (jug or bucket)
Much less than 4 litres/min and it's history, I think.

I have checked the flow and that seems fine. It is just that the water is freezing cold if the flow is full on and to get any hot water you have to turn the flow right down to not far from a dribble

your last answer don't make an sense at all.
if the shower is set to fully cold is it fast or slow flow ?
then set to fully hot is the flow alot slower ?

is the temp on fully hot only luke warm, cold or hot ?

then we might start to get somewhere.

OK - if the shower is set to fully cold the flow is fast and if it is set to fully hot the flow is not much more than a dribble.
The temp on fully hot is not much more than lukewarm.
