I have a 10.5 delux (now 4-5 years old) it's started to leak above the inlet assembly, seems to be a plunger/valve (3-4" above the inlet pipe) that moves up/down when the shower is turned on or off. Is this fixable or am I better off replacing the shower engine?

I would contact the manufacturer and see if the a. still make the shower and b. carry spares for it. it will all come down to cost a part isnt worth more than the shower. but please note once one part goes its likely another is not to far away imo.

An engine for this shower is around £67 personally gainsborough showers with complete engine units are not worth repairing, i'd replace with a better quality shower ie mira etc.

actualy you are right you can get a mira pretty cheapish in the vast scheme of things, lets face it its not a digital aqualisa.
