Galaxy Aqua 3000 always cold

Hi

I have an electric Galaxy Aqua 3000 shower will a pull cord power switch.

When i get in the shower and turn the heat selector to hot, i only get warm enough water from the shower when the dial is turned up to the maximum 10.

Understandably the flow from the shower is then quite weak.

Can anyone tell me what likely to be causing this problem and how i go about fixing it?

The other reason is that an instant shower puts a limited amount of heat into the water. Now that winter is here the incoming water will be colder, so you will have to be satisfied with either less flow, or a cooler temperature, than in the summer.

It is possible to calculate if the shower heater is working properly by measuring:

Temperature of incoming water
Temperature of outgoing water
Litres of water delivered per minute

(there might be some tables available somewhere for this)

However, if the output suddenly failed (one day it was hot, the next it wasn't), esp. if you have a half heat/full heat button that doesn't make any difference, then that would point to a fault in the unit.
