What cable is best to use for rs 45 bus connections for accessories ie rf portal
can power and data be in same multi core cable??

For domestic or non noisy (electrical) environments where the run is <=100m, then standard alarm cable will suffice. For other environments Belden cable is preferred. I've also used CAT5e cable without any issues. The power and data are in the same cable.
