Gap between UPVC Frama and concrete floor

Hi,

First time poster, long time reader.

Our wonderful dog in one her tantrums deciding to pull up the carpet by the patio doors revealing what you see in the photos. Question is, is this normal, i.e. the gap and the broken concrete?
Also, I think this gap causes quite a draft and heat loss. What would be best way to fill this gap and stop any more drafts/heat loss?

Sand and cement, 4-1 mix. Use a quite dry mix to fill the gap and use a small filler knife.
