Looking for some advice on a gap in the brickwork in the corner of my upstairs bedroom. I'm in a 1930's semi-detatched house, and the walls shown are the party wall (left side) and the front wall (right side).
The gap in the brick varies, but is around 2cm at its widest (often where it looks like theres no mortar). Some of the bricks are also cracked, as seen in pics. There were some small cracks in the plaster above this gap, which was removed as it had loosened (some fell off when the wallpaper was removed). It also looks like some small areas were also previously patched with white filler.
I've been advised by a plasterer to fill the gap in the brickwork with mortar and replaster over the top. Just wanting to check this is ok to do, or whether I should be looking at taking any other action re the brickwork?
