Whats the best option for a floor to bring the garage up to level with the house.
The existing concrete slab sits about 150mm below the flooring level of the house.
I was planning to fix a plate to the wall and run joists and fill the the space with solid insulation slabs.
But the building regs I've seen for a "floating floor" state that you have to have 150mm between the slab and the bottom of the joists.
Does the addition of insulation mean that is no longer necessary?
